1st Day




Today we have started the "Robotix" proyect. First, teachers have explained us what we are going to do during the week and they have given us a timetable with the diffirrent activities of the proyect. We have gone to the laboratory and there we have organiced all the pieces of the robot in their different boxes.






 Then, we have built our robot following the instructions with lego pieces and after this we have taken a computer to program our robot.Then, we have decided our robot´s name, we have called it "Megatron".




Our first challenge was to program the robot to go forward and backward. Later we have programmed it to do some curves and finally we have made a fastastic race.



We have recorded the race. We have had a great time and we have won the race!

2nd Day

Today, firstly we have gone to the informatic room to start with our Scratch proyect. We have used a web with tutorials to learn how to use Scratch. Secondly we have gone to the laboratory and we have finished programming the robot for a new race. Then, we have disassembled the robot that we built yesterday and we have created another type of robot. It is awesome!



After this, we have done a competition:  we have played bowling. The robot had to throw the ball to make the tubes of papers fall. Our group hasn´t won but we have had a great time.This is our bowling video.




Finally we have started building a kind of arm for the robot. To build this arm we have used another motor.

In the afternoon we have continued with our scratch proyect. Scratch is a program to introduce people (specially young people) in technology and programming world and it is very funny!

3rd Day



Today, we have finished building the arm of the robot and we have used it to build a windscreen wiper. This is the video of the arm that we have built today.





After this teachers (Ander and Jon) have explained us how to add sensors to the robot and how to use them.

We have started with the light sensor. First we have started putting it on the robot and then we have done some tests. For example, we have programmed the robot to go forward ultil it finds black line. To do this we have measured the ambient light intensity.Then we have added the vision sensor to the robot and we have programmed the robot to go forward until it finds something (in this case it was a box).When the robot finds the box, it goes backward and finally it finishes its way playing  claps noise.
Finally our last challenge was to push some sticks made of paper out of a circle. To do this we have used the light and vision sensor. We have added two arms to the robot to push the sticks easier.





In the afternoon we have stayed two hours in the technology room writing our blog.

4th Day

Today, in the first hour we have gone to the informatics room. There we have been doing the blog and we have continued with our scratch proyect. Later, we have gone to the laboratory room. Ander and Jon have explained us how to use, build and program a sound and touch sensors. After , we have done a circuit and in that circuit we have combined all the different types of sensors of our robot. Ander and Jon have congratuled  our group because we have made it very well and fast. This is the video of the circuit.

 Then we have built a bumper for the touch sensor. Finally, Ander and Jon have explained us the rules for the sumo battle between our robots and we started constructing our robot.We have decided that in the sumo battle specially we will atack and we have started thinking our robot design.

This is the robot that we will use in the sumo battle. In the afternoon we have continued with our scratch proyect.

5th Day

Today , as our last day we have been building and programming our robot all the day. Finally we have done the sumo battle. First we have done a competition with our robots controling them with a remote control and finally we have done a competition programming them. We haven´t won but we have enjoyed it a lot. This is the robot that we have used in the competition.
